MHCO works for promotion of human rights, the rule of law and democracy as well as sustainable development in Afghanistan. These two goals are inter-linked and mutually support each other. For sustainable development MHCO follows an integrated approach and undertakes projects and activities that is directed towards empowering the poor with special emphasis on skill training for target groups in target areas. MHCO seeks the full application of international human rights standards in Afghanistan by educating the public in human rights and monitoring the improvement of the human rights situation in the country.
